Perry, Compiling the information like this to present it to the list will
save others a lot of time and effort. Thanks, Debbie

Hi all,
I agree with Perry on this one. You do want someone local - you also want
someone handy to let the rescue people in the house.
I hated the idea of a cell phone also, until my daughter loaned me one of
their's. Charlotte only has to push the "on", "mem" and "1" buttons to get me
now. I also call her often to make sure everything is okay when I go to the
store or other errands. If you have an old car like us :o) you can also call
the tow truck :o) (happened once) (tow truck owner is a friend).
Take care, Bill and Charlotte
Hi Perry: Thanks for all the info you provided. It sounds as if the
local provider is the one to choose. I'll call & check into it. Also, I
know 911 has our correct information, because I've had to call them a
few times. When I leave Bob alone for a short time, I always take my
cell phone & make sure he has the portable phone on him. Again, thanks
for your help. Regards, Jerrie
